Registered Nurse Pediatric Ward

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Ward, provide high-quality professional nursing care utilizing the Nursing Process. Focus on direct patient care and related activities. Work under the supervision and direction of the Ward Charge Nurse and Head Nurse. Must be flexible with shift timings and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

  • Engage continuously with patients and their families for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing plan of care.
  • Orient new hires and newly assigned nursing staff.
  • Liaise routinely with physicians to execute orders, assist with medical procedures, and report changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Regularly report to Ward Charge Nurse/Head Nurse regarding changes in patients’ conditions and progress related to the plan of care.
  • Collaborate with technical and other support services within the medical facility for direct patient care, patient flow, and unit maintenance.
  • Maintain professional conduct with patients, families, visitors, and the general public.
  • Education: BS in Nursing.
  • Experience: At least two years of clinical nursing experience post-licensure/registration from the country of origin.
  • Knowledge/Skills: Proficient in general nursing theories and practices, with specialization in medical/surgical. Ability to operate equipment for basic nursing care.
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN), BCLS/ACLS certified as appropriate.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in spoken and written English. Spoken Arabic is desirable.
  • Personal Requirements: Exhibit good health, grooming, integrity, and knowledge. Demonstrate moral character, physical activeness, and a pleasant personality.
  • Professional Qualities: Possess a commanding sense of responsibility, work autonomously, show initiative, and exhibit competence in clinical management. Capable of establishing positive working relationships within a multicultural setting. Actively participate in the organization’s activities.
  • Split shifts and as required in the Pediatric Ward unit.
  • Hours are assigned and may include on-call duties after working hours.
