Overview

Join our team as an Audiologist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services, enhancing lives of patients across all age groups by addressing hearing, balance, and communication disorders in a leading Dubai hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient hearing impairment and balance disorder, interpret audiometric diagnostic data, and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  • Provide treatments including fitting hearing aids, cochlear implants, conducting auditory training, and counseling patients and families.
  • Maintain patient records documenting evaluations, changes, progress, and treatments.
  • Improve quality results through studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, evaluating new equipment, and participating in research programs.
  • Conduct hearing protection and loss screening programs, providing auditory evaluations and education.
  • Maintain supplies inventory by anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt.
  • Uphold legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Continually update job knowledge by tracking trends, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications.
  • Uphold hospital values and promote departmental teamwork.
  • Accept additional duties in periods of higher workload as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Speech and Hearing or Audiology Disorders/Sciences, Doctor of Audiology Au.D./Doctor of Audiology and Vestibular medicine.
  • A valid professional license from the Dubai Health Authority.
  • Experience in clinical settings – Hospitals and clinics providing comprehensive audiological services.
  • Ability to identify, test, diagnose, and manage disorders of human hearing, balance, and tinnitus.
  • Skill in fitting, programming, and audiologic rehabilitation to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Experience in supervising and conducting newborn hearing screening programs.
  • Ability to evaluate and manage central auditory processing disorders.
  • Ability to maintain professional confidentiality and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
