Staff Nurse Labor and Delivery

Provide a wide range of quality professional nursing care functions using the Nursing Process with emphasis on direct patient care and related activities.

• Provide nursing care to patients under supervision and direction from LDU Charge Nurse and Head Nurse
• Works on split shifts and as required in Delivery Room unit, on-call may be required
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients and their families
• Orients and integrates newly hired and assigned nursing staff into the unit
• Collaborates routinely with physicians for implementing orders and reporting changes in patients’ condition
• Reports changes in patients' condition and progress to LDU Charge Nurse/Head Nurse
• Coordinates with technical and support services for patient care, patient flow, and unit maintenance
• Regularly interacts with patients, families, and visitors

• Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Essential: At least two years in own country
• Desired: UAE experience would be beneficial
• Basic Arabic language skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient safety standards
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
