Overview

Experienced Specialist Radiology with minimum of 5+ years of experience in tertiary care hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasounds, to help diagnose and treat patients.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, such as referring physicians, to discuss patient imaging needs and provide diagnostic recommendations.
  • Develop and implement radiology policies and procedures to ensure the safe and effective use of imaging equipment.
  • Supervise and train radiology technicians and other support staff, ensuring that they follow proper procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, such as monitoring and evaluating the quality of imaging tests, to ensure that the highest standards of patient care are met.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advances in radiology technology and techniques, and incorporate them into patient care as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, such as consulting with surgeons and oncologists to plan and monitor treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including imaging test results and treatment plans, in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert opinions and consultations to other healthcare professionals, such as legal and insurance professionals, on matters related to radiology.
  • Participate in research activities related to radiology, such as conducting clinical trials or analyzing imaging data, to advance the field and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of approved Medical School with a valid license to practice medicine; certification by American/Australia/Canadian Board of Radiology or possession of an FRCR (Canada) in Diagnostic Radiology or the English FRCP (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years experience in the practice of radiology following completion of training.
  • Current licensure in the country of origin and with a DHA license to practice as a specialist in diagnostic/radiology in Dubai, UAE.
