Experienced General Practitioner – ICU/CCU with a minimum 3+ years of experience in tertiary care hospital.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat patients with complex medical conditions in the ICU/CCU setting.
Provide primary care and follow-up for patients in the ICU/CCU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Communicate with patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and prognosis, and provide emotional support as needed.
Provide guidance and education to junior medical staff and nursing staff, and participate in clinical teaching and research activities.
Monitor and assess patients for signs of deterioration, and take appropriate action to prevent complications and maintain stability.
Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, and document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and technology, and incorporate new knowledge and skills into patient care practices.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support staff to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records, and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards of care.
Qualifications
Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and four years of residency.
A minimum of 3+ years as a General Practitioner ICU/CCU is preferred.
DHA license as a general practitioner to practice in Dubai, U.A.E.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of the Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
