Extensive experience of general Cardiology, simple cardiac device implantation and diagnostic cardiac catheterization
Competence in Cardiac Electrophysiology and/or Complex Pacing or Interventional Cardiology
Demonstrable interest in and commitment to the professional development of others.
Responsibilities
Ability to organize and manage day to day caseload activities.
Management of conditions requiring cardiology expertise/opinion in an outpatient setting.
Ability to take a detailed case history and conduct a thorough clinical examination
Ability to prescribe medicines appropriate to the field of cardiology
Ability to consent and appropriately counsel patients regarding details of any invasive procedures relevant to cardiology and the risks of such procedures
Ability to provide in patient and appropriate post discharge care for cardiology conditions and to arrange appropriate follow up
Communication skills – able to relate to and communicate with patients, staff and external teams at all levels and from different professions. Able to adapt communication style as necessary.
Team building and working skills – able to lead a team to achieve results
Understanding of the issues pertaining to clinical risk management
Ability to utilize research in clinical practice
Qualifications
MD or MBBS
CCT or completion of a recognised specialist training programme in cardiology
UAE medical health authority(ies) licence
MRCP or equivalent
Current basic life support accreditation
Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS)
Good command of English language (or IELTS 7 if applicable)
